About Theodore Too
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Theodore TOO. I’m a 65-foot tugboat working replica of the original TV character Theodore Tugboat from the beloved CBC series “Theodore Tugboat”. I was built at Snyder’s Shipyard in Dayspring, Nova Scotia and launched on April 19th, 2000, but my official birthday (my certificate day) is May 5th, 2000.
While living in the Big Harbour in Halifax NS, I learned all about the exciting careers in the Canadian maritime industry, the importance of looking after our waterways and always working safely.
In June of 2021, I left the Big Habour to take on a new career: sharing the things I’ve learned with all Canadians and taking on a more active role as a champion for Canada’s marine industry. My job is to help build awareness of all the diverse and inclusive employment opportunities, on and off the water. I’m also a proud ambassador for Swim Drink Fish and an official guide of the Great Lakes.

My Home
My new home-base is the Port of Hamilton on Lake Ontario. Of course, I continue to promote the Canadian Maritimes as my top tourist destination with so much to see and do. It’s one of my favourite things to talk about.
